We Need To Talk About Clifford’s Restaurant & Bar

I recently had the opportunity to sample some of the delightful bites at Clifford’s Restaurant & Bar and it didn’t disappoint.

Creator and owner Gemma Ellis serves up magical modern day classics that will keep you coming back for more.

I started my culinary journey with the divine Ham and Cheese Croquettes accompanied by a delicious, punchy, homemade piccalilli.

Next up was the tasty Crispy Pig’s Head, lightly garnished with a homemade runner bean chutney.

The excellent service throughout from Comsin and his team shines through effortlessly as they delivered a plate of spicy Guindilla pickles to my table. The Pickles were fresh and crisp and possessed a real fiery kick.

However, my absolute favourite platter during my sampling session was the Crispy Egg & Smoked Cod’s Roe.

This marvellous creation is a real crowd pleaser and from my very first bite, I was hooked and it was evident and quite clear to me why this is such a big hit with Clifford’s Restaurant diners.

And finally, I finished off my superb tasting experience with a gorgeous Brown Bread Ice Cream dessert that will certainly please all those with a sweet tooth.

In short, this intimate and cosy restaurant in the heart of the city offers a great selection of plates, heavenly cocktails, an uber cool atmosphere and first class service with a smile.
