Sacred Heart School Work Placement Networking Event

About This Project

The Sacred Heart work placement event was a big success on numerous levels and was held at the stunning Goldsmiths’ Centre and coincided with Clerkenwell Design week.

The Goldsmiths’ Centre is a visionary new development in the heart of Clerkenwell. This restored Grade II listed Victorian school, combined with a contemporary four-storey building, is a striking combination of old and new, teaming traditional features with state-of-the-art design and facilities.

Magnificent floor to ceiling windows provide a stunning backdrop over London’s skyline and a unique bio-diversity roof garden offers an idyllic space for summer entertaining.

The Goldsmiths’ Centre was the perfect location for this networking soiree and the fabulous and welcoming staff combined with superb decor, delightful food, created an uber cool vibe which never let us down.

Guests were treated to welcome drinks on arrival followed by a divine menu which consisted of traditional fish and chips with tartare sauce, a vegetarian option of roasted fenland beetroot with golden cross goats chesse and pine nuts and a sweet dessert made up of apple, pear and blackberry crumble served with custard.

The aim of the event was to provide an opportunity for senior professionals from the digital, design, media, creative, PR, music, printing, fine dining, hotels, construction, law, professional services and events sectors to meet the students and teachers of Sacred Heart School whilst enjoying the splendour of the Goldsmiths’ Centre. It was simple – meet, greet, eat and network and our guests did just that!

We also helped to raise much needed awareness of the Sacred Heart work experience programme which runs from 8th July Р12th July 2013. Organisations big and small were interested to learn more about the initiative and how they could get involved and through our introductions we have managed to  help secure a number of work placements for the Sacred Heart students too.

Clerkenwell Design Week was in it’s third and final day and this year boasted over 60 showrooms, a wealth of creative agencies and more architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, Clerkenwell is truly the UK’s most important design community. We were so pleased that a number of design, media and creative agencies came along to lend their support and speak with the teachers and students too.

All in all it was an outstanding event which exceeded all expectations and helped a variety of organisations come together to discuss their ideas, thoughts and recommendations on the Sacred Heart work experience programme.

Until next time…continue to be inspired and stay connected!
