All smiles, sweets, treats and a trip to Paris for two via Eurostar at St Simon & St Jude Parish Summer BBQ.

Local residents came together recently to celebrate the annual St Simon and St Jude Parish Summer BBQ party in Streatham Hill and it was a huge success on a number of levels.

The party fundraiser was supported by Douglas & Gordon, one of the largest, most innovative and respected independent estate agents in London. The BBQ continues to be a focal point for the wider community to come along and enjoy a fun, family day out. Guests were treated to delicious burgers, hot dogs, drinks, kids activities, superb live music and the DJ kept the mood high throughout the day.

The excitement levels rose throughout the afternoon with the anticipation of the raffle prize draw which saw one lucky person win two tickets to Paris via Eurostar. The children were equally excited on the day as they all entered the competition to guess the correct number of sweets in the Douglas & Gordon sweet jar.

Tom Gowers – Streatham Broker at D&G said: “At Douglas & Gordon, we love being part of the local community. Supporting local events and organisations is a really important factor in retaining that close-knit, community feeling that Streatham has in abundance and it is events like St Simon & St Jude Parish Summer BBQ that bring people together.
It was a truly fantastic experience to be a part of this event and everyone at D&G Streatham would love to give our heartfelt thanks for allowing us and our children to be part of the day.”

St Simon and St Jude Parish Priest Fr. Habte said: “The Summer BBQ continues to be a marvellous event which generates so much happiness, smiles and much laughter from everyone that attends.

It also helps us to raise much-needed funds for the running of the Parish and the Church refurbishment programme too. “I was delighted to see such a diverse gathering on the day and I would like to thank Douglas & Gordon, our brilliant parishioners and superb community for coming out and supporting our annual BBQ, it really is so appreciated.
